Please bring a stethoscope and thermometer to the August 16 First Aid Course. You may also find it useful to bring any Shedrow No Bow and Shedrow Standing Bandages (or equivalent) for practice with leg wraps, and the Basic Equine Anatomy & First Aid Principles printout. My goal is informal discussions and lots of hands-on practice, covering basic first aid principles, recognition of emergency situations (e.g. colic, laminitis (founder), uveitis (eye pain/injury), and soft-tissue injury), and useful tips on managing these situations until a veterinarian can see your horse.

Some of the First Aid items I have recommended can be purchased through Greenhawk Equestrian Sports, Amazon Online and local human pharmacies.
